Tips for an enjoyable day out

All walkers should ensure they are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear
for their day out, check the weather forecast so you are prepared.

Apart from the normal emergency services, help can be provided by the event
stewards or by ringing 07572 475523 and support will be sent from Goytre
Wharf.

As you are walking remember the last bridge number you walked past as
this will assist in identifying where you’re located.

Dehydration and food, carry drinks/water as appropriate for the length of walk,
together with some snacks should you get hungry. There will be food available
to purchase when you arrive at Goytre Wharf.

When walking please be courteous to other canal users, walk in single file if
necessary and be aware of other walkers and cyclists. Please stay on the towpath
when walking. Remember canal locks can be dangerous.

Rotary Stewards will be identified by their high viz jackets, don’t hesitate to ask
for assistance if you feel you need it.

When you arrive, please go to the Rotary Gazebo where we will record that you
have completed the walk.
